Flying a Power Plane (Feb - March 2001)
I started by finding the nearest airport and flying school to my home/work. I took a Discovery Flight at the end of Jan 2001 and took some lessons until approximately March 2001. I logged about 20 hours of dual.

Glider Flying (April 1 2001 - ???) Obtained Private (Glider) 10/Mar/02
I started gliding lessons with Greater Houston Soaring Club and have flown the LET L-23 Super Blanik and the LET L-13. Both of these are fairly high performance all-metal gliders that fly beautifully and are capable of aerobatics. The club also has a Schweizer 1-26 and a twin Lark ISW28-b. I have my A and B and C badges and will be working towards my bronze badge in the 1-26 during 2002.

More Prop Antics... (April 20 2001 - ???)
As of May 2002, starting the prep for the ASEL check-ride. Been flying a Citabria out of Houston Southwest for a while, and really enjoying it, though time and work and weather have slowed my progress down to much slower than I would like. I am enrolled at Texas Taildraggers.
